Paul's Zakspeed Tribute
A tribute to the 1981 Group 5 German Championship racing Capri.
Paul's Capri really does exist and is road-legal.
It went from being a MKIII 2.0 Laser Capri to the white, red and black 'Zakspeed Tribute Capri' as seen at the NEC Classic Motor Show in 2013, 2015 and 2019 (50 Years of the Ford Capri celebration display) on the Capri Club International stand and many other shows up and down the country inc Events City (Manchester) twice. In 2019 Paul's Zakspeed tribute took to the track at Silverstone for the media day in April to promote the July Silverstone Classic event. In June 2019, the Zakspeed tribute was in the centre of the awesome Capri timeline display at our Wonderland Classic & Sports Car Festival, Nottingham.

Tech spec :
Engine 2.1 Zetec Turbo with an Omex engine management system.
Custom-made manifold.  Stage 3.134 turbo. Restricted to 340 bhp
Custom-made fuel tank with Bosch 044 fuel pump.

The build took over 3 years to complete and was a severe test of nerve and will-power - it then took another 2 months 'shake-down' to iron-out niggling problems that are inevitable with such a large project.
